Advantage through Expertise: Another ESD Seminar

PING GmbH has successfully expanded its existing know-how on electrostatic discharge, ESD, according to the current DIN EN 61340-5-1 standard through another in-house seminar.

During the seminar, which took place on Tuesday, 26 May at the company’s offices, PING employees were able to refresh and deepen their existing ESD knowledge. Several practical topics were presented in detail, including what ESD is and why it is so dangerous for electronic components in data centres, the setup, configuration and rules of ESD protected areas, EPA, and personal ESD protective equipment. The renewed focus on the subject generated many interesting practical questions, which were discussed in depth with the trainer. The practical demonstrations and tests also led to ideas for new PING GmbH services that will continue to set the company apart from the competition. PING GmbH will present these new services to regular customers later this year.

A brief overview of changes to important ESD rules and standards rounded off the seminar. PING employees are therefore able to provide optimal advice to data centre managers for optimal data centre operation.
